So sorry I didn't keep up with my challenge! Our lifes have been sooo crazy. (aren't they always) Anyways we just got back from a week trip to Iowa to visit Matt's family! We had tons of fun for Matt's bday week! I made a scavenger hunt throughout our trip and it turn out nicely! (thanks Lindy for all you help!) We celebrated his bday by going to the Iowa State Fair and a comedy show. We had a good time :) The weekend before our trip we made a crazyy decision. This decision is the account for our big news. So hold on tight, and get ready to be shocked!
Matt and I moved our wedding date up seven months to January 8th :) Yes you heard me! We are so excited and just feel like this is the right thing to be doing in our lifes. Wait there is more! We are also changing the wedding location. The wedding is now in CALIFORNIA! I know we're crazy! But we are just so excited. Our family is getting over the initial shock and most of them are on board! Matt and I have been planning like crazy! Who would have thought all my wedding planning would be done over the phone!
This is our formal announcement to our family so hopefully everyone gets a chance to see this! Until now only immediate family knew! Comment us and tell us what you think about our big news! Are we crazy or what?!

So first off, I wouldn't even have my favorite things if it weren't for the two people below!
Next is my sister!
Obviously you know the next person i'm going to list :)
My working man :) I love him so much! Words cannot express how much this guy means to me! I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with this favorite person of mine! He is absoulutely amazing. He has such a tender heart, loves the Lord, a family man, and is such a hard worker! I could not be more blessed :)
So obviously you know my family is definitely on the top of the top of my favorite things! I have no many other great relatives and new relatives that I love dearly!
Next, :)
My engagement ring :) This a symbol of my future! I'm so looking forward to it and everything God has instore for Matt and I! This is by far the most beautiful ring i've ever seen and I treasure dearly!
GERBER DAISIES! I love these flowers :) I see them and it instantly makes me happy! They will be the main flower in our wedding :)
You can take the girl out of SoCAL, but you can't take SoCAL out of the girl! I LOVE ME SOME DODGER BASEBALL!!!! ( and some Russell Martin too!)
Last but not least! This is my number one favorite thing! I am in love with Jesus Christ and the grace he gave us when dying on the cross! I am constantly reminded of grace, and that it is new every morning!
NOW..... onto Matt. Matt is away on a work trip so he isn't here to tell me his favorite things so i'll just see what I can come up with on my own :)
Matt loves to fish :) I have never seen a more patient person. He will sit out by a pond all day to catch a fish. He is also very very patient in teaching me :) (and getting all my line untangled)
Matt really enjoys planting things. He has been on this kick of trying to get everything to grow lol. He researches his little bootie off about it. Currently I have fruit seeds and two plants in my house that are his works in progress :)
Matt loves our dog Bella! He is so good with her and loves playing with her in the yard. He can't wait until we property so they can, "really play" :)

Courage.
Day 5! Can you believe I've gone this many days in a row blogging?!
Today is Favorie quote day on our 30 day blog journal :)
I'll start with mine this time!
I am a huge John Wayne freak. Well just anything cowboy related... I'm the biggest poser you will ever meet when it comes to this :) So you can probably guess who said my favorite quote, YES... John Wayne!
I found this quote in the middle of Senior Year of high school and have used it in my life since then. Its something that really helped me get through the transition of moving and all these crazy steps in my life that are happening so quickly!
"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyways."
Matt ofcourse said he didn't have one... he said he isn't into that stuff. But he joked with me that it is "Oh Hillarie" He says this in a REALLLLLY annoying voice, just to get on my nerves :)

Book Worms... or worm.
Day 4 of the 30 day blog journal is your favorite book!
I aksed Matt this question and he laughed. He said, "Honey, you know I don't read." I knew this but just thought I'd ask. Then I realized we had already had this conversation and the memories from it made me laugh out loud! So here is the story...
So one day we were in the library. I asked Matt if he wanted any books, he laughed and said no. Then after a few moments, he shouted HARRIS AND ME! I turned my head and told him to hush and asked him what he was talking about... he said thats my favorite book. I looked at him and just giggled, so there we were searching the Jackson library for Harris and Me. He knew the author was Gary Paulsen and so we checked for that last name and there were no books written by that author....
He was sulking in his misery and then it came to me! I couldn't help but laugh. Gary Paulsen is a children's chapter book writer, so his books wouldn't be in the adult section. I then told Matt this. So we ventured out to the childrens section. There we found a whole bunch of Gary Paulsen books, but no Harris and Me. Matt starting sulking again, but I still couldn't help but giggle. :)
So anyways, needless to say, Matt isn't much of a reader. I on the other hand LOVE to read. I don't get to read as much as I would like to anymore, but I used to all the time. I can't pick just one book that is my favorite! Ofcourse, right... So here is my list :)
This is going to sound weird, but in 8th grade I did a book project on To Kill a Mockingbird. This was probably one of the best books I have ever read. The book is filled with so many good lessons and really makes you think throughout the entire thing. I think I liked it so much because it was challenging, and the teacher I had really encouraged us to dig deep in the book.
I also really enjoy all of Nicholas Sparks books! I have always been a romantic and love his sappy stories.

The boob tube!
So today is Day 3 of our 30 day blog journal :) Day 3 is our favorite TV shows!
Okay so we both don't watch a lot of TV but when we do our favorite shows are:
Matt: Pawn Shops and American Pickers.
He love this kinda stuff and has kinda got me addicted too :) I have a feeling i'm marrying a hoarder lol
Hillarie: I like ALLLLL wedding shows. This isn't just because i'm getting married either. I have always watched these types of shows and love them :)
Tonight is short and sweet :)

Movie Time ;)
So we're going to continue in our 30 day blog journal :)
Day 2! Favorite movie : )
I will first start with Matt's favorite movie. He loves Forest Gump, I don't know why. Honestly I don't know why anyone does. I went my whole life without seeing this movie, until I met Matt. I was dissapointed. I know I know, i'm crazy....
Next, my favorite!!
This is the best movie ever. I watch it when i'm happy, sad, tired, lonely, in love, needing to sleep, anything! Sweet Home Alabama :) Reese Witherspoon is amazing and there is also some nice eyecandy ;) (sorry matt!).
