Matthew's Ideas vs. My Own

Just recently I received a text from Matt stating his opinion on how the invitations (or as he called them cards) should look.  Out of complete random he sent a text saying I think the cards should be on black paper with white pencil. I seriously laughed out loud when he said that. I think my cousin Andy had something to do with this, however. Andy tends to think I'm on the verge of being over over-dramatic, (which I assured him is not the case), and likes to see me freak out.  Anyways this got me thinking about how I really want my invitations to look like. In my imagination I always thought my wedding would take place in the Spring or Fall, not the dead center of Summer.  So all my ideas i've ever had about invitations are now null and void. So ideas  are still flowing and I haven't settled on a design yet. One thing I do know though is how i'm going to make them. Much to Matt's dismay, i'm sure, we will not be hand writing all 100 invitations in white pencil. Instead, we will be using a machine called the Cricket. My mom had heard of it before and I begun to research all the cool things it can do.  Although I have yet to experiment with this great find, i'm really looking forward to making all the invitations DIY using this machine.   I promise I will keep you all updated on how it is working out and pictures to go along with the anecdotes :) Below is a link to the Cricket on Amazon.  See if you can think of anymore uses for it. Also, if you have any experience or helpful tips for the machine :)

  1. I spelled the Cricut wrong. Instead of Cricket its Cricut. Might be easier to find this way :) Sorry about that!
